Tanyamaria is a Brooklyn born; Miami raised actor, singer, and poetic writer. In 2011, she earned a position on the Urban Word NYC poetry slam team where her team took 2nd place at the Brave New Voices National Poetry Competition. in 2017 She was awarded a BFA in Acting From Brooklyn College Theatre Conservatory. Since then she has made appearances on off-broadway stages such as The Public Theatre and in The Flea's Fall production of ‘SCRAPS’ written by AMC script writer Geraldine Inoa. Tanyamaria is thrilled by new and old works that respond to the Black American experience.
